The Oban Passport Promotion
How it Works…

If you wish to get an Oban Passport in advance of your visit please send us a stamped addressed envelope and we will mail one by return. And please don't worry if we send you one that is dated for 2010! We are a voluntary group and don't like to waste anything! Likewise, our accommodation members have been asked to use the balance of last year's passports before we go to the expense of printing more. Simply collect a passport on arrival from your accommodation provider (if they are a member of the Oban and Lorn Tourism Association) from local visitor attractions such as the Oban Distillery, Inverawe Smokehouse and Scottish Sealife Sanctuary or from the participating restaurants themselves.

The Oban Passport was launched to coincide with the opening event of the Festival of The Sea in May 2010. Once you have your passport please complete the ‘personal details’ at the back. Use this section to record the dates of each visit to Oban and if you wish, where you stayed on each occasion. As an added incentive, if you already visited and registered your passport in 2010 your passport stamps can now be counted towards 2011 - and the qualifying number for 2011's draw is still just five stamps.

When you eat out in any of the restaurants in the passport, or visit one of the participating visitor attractions, you should ask to have your passport stamped. You will get one stamp per visit (not per person - although restaurants can use their discretion and give you extra stamps if you are a large group!) BUT outwith the main summer season we’re offering DOUBLE STAMPS - so 2 stamps per visit.

Once you have a minimum of 5 stamps in your passport you are eligible for the prize draw at the end of the year. But don’t stop with 5! The more stamps you have the better the prizes available – so keep coming back.
